Hair Tinsel FAQ's
Frequently asked questions about DazzleDu ®

- How do I knot the Dazzles into my hair?
Take a look at the Video tab to see our instructional movie on how to “Dazzle your Do”

- Can I wash my hair?
Absolutely! Go ahead a wash it just as you always do. Use conditioner and any other treatment products you normally use on your hair.

- Can I blow dry, flat iron, or curl my hair?
Yes, you can treat your Dazzles just the same as your hair, but gently. Dazzles will withstand up to 250 degrees of temperature. This means that you will want to set your curling iron, flat iron, and blow dryer to your lowest or medium setting at the most. Hair styling tools that use heat have high temperatures of 375 degrees and above. You want to be more gentle than that. For a “Dazzling Hair Day” please keep your heat on low and use a wide tooth comb for best results.

- Can I trim them?
Sure. After tying your Dazzles take a look to see if any of the Dazzles extend beyond the natural length of the hair. If they do, by all means go ahead and give them a snip.

- When is the best time to do a Dazzledu ® ?
The very best time to add Dazzles to your do is when you have a fresh shampoo and the hair is wet. Not only are the Dazzles easier to tie, they will last up to several weeks when tied into a wet or damp head.

- How do I pick a hair to tie to?
Isolating the best hair to tie the Dazzle to is a learned skill. The more you Dazzle, the more Dazzling the results.

- How long will my Dazzles last?
Your Dazzles will last as long as the hair they are tied to remain in the head. This varies greatly by the individual. The knot where the Dazzle is tied to the hair is stronger than the bond between the hair and the scalp. So if your Dazzle gives way, more likely than not it is because the hair came out, not the knot. Fortunately, it is very easy to simply tie a new Dazzle into your “do” to replace any that are lost.
